I’m Dee Dee Swann, the heart behind WonderPlay Learning and a life-long student of… well, everything. For the last 24 years, I’ve worked in public and private education as a teacher, specialist, coach, and administrator (assistant principal and principal). Along the way, I’ve also spent 14 beautiful, messy, joy-filled years as a mom—supporting my own child’s growth emotionally, spiritually, socially, and academically.

No matter the title on my name badge, my favorite moments have always been the same: that spark when a child or adult gets something new, feels seen, or grows in confidence. Those little “aha”s and quiet connections are what keep me inspired.

I started WonderPlay Learning because I wanted more of those moments—and more people to share them with and learn from. I deeply believe that learning happens through connection:

• connection between people,

• connection to ideas and stories,

• connection to our interests and everyday life.

At WonderPlay Learning, that belief shows up in our literacy-based play kits designed for toddlers through tweens. Each kit is created to spark playful interactions with stories, build language and social skills, nurture curiosity, and invite children (and their grown-ups) to learn together through sensory play and hands-on experiences.

One of the parts I’m most excited about is the community we’re building—parents, teachers, caregivers, and therapists coming together to share ideas, resources, and encouragement. I’d love for you to be part of it.

My personal motto is simple: “Stay curious, stay connected, keep playing.” It’s how I try to move through life, and it’s the spirit behind everything we create here at WonderPlay Learning—a place where we bring stories to life through sensory play, meaningful experiences, and the joy of learning together.
